The Mitzvah Bowl Website guides B’nai Mitzvah students to find meaningful Mitzvah Projects. With over 150 non-profit organizations to choose from, tweens/teens can search for the ideal opportunity based on their personal interests. Projects range from being a dance partner with wheelchair bound individuals to videotaping Holocaust survivors to supplying books for a new library in Africa. To inspire others, students’ Mitzvah Project stories are featured weekly. Go to the “More Ideas Page” for even further inspiration!

Maddie Hunt, a May, 2013 Bat Mitzvah, combined two passions for her Mitzvah Project–baking and helping kids. She baked homemade goods during the month of March to sell at her middle school’s café. After raising $425, Maddie donated the funds to Camp Rainbow, a free non-profit overnight camp in Pennsylvania, in order to give other children the opportunity to go to overnight camp who would not be able to afford it
