When the time comes for a vendor to plan a Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah celebration for one of their own children, the pressure is on! These experts have seen it all and have the difficult task of thinking of something uber creative for their own family.
Stacey Levy, the owner of Planned to Perfection runs a full-service event planning company that offers a wide range of services from full coordination to “day of services.”
For her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, she decided on an Emoji theme with lots of creative and eye catching ideas!
When guests entered the celebration, they were greeted by a poster created by Amy Wohl of FabuDesigns.com. Various emoji's were strategically placed in the sentences with a clever result. Everyone knew the theme and their instagram hash tag!
Amy Wohl also designed a colorful Emoji floor decal

Hi Tech Events knows how many Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations are held during the school year. They work with each client to assure theirs is a unique theme and something the Bar or Bat Mitzvah child is excited about.
They are one of the leaders in Mitzvah Décor and Photography in the New York Metropolitan area and offer a wide variety of services including photography/videography, montages, photo favors, party décor, entertainment, and everything in-between.
Here are some of the many ways they can decorate your Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration so your party is different from all the rest.
Hockey Theme
For a Bar Mitzvah boy who loves hockey, Hi Tech Events completely transformed the Engineers Country Club into his dream ice hockey arena. Their team created custom items including bars, centerpieces and lounge furniture to replicate ice hockey bleachers which showcased real jerseys.
Hi Tech did the photography, videography, and photo favors for this celebration. They also created the décor with the help of their sister company Porta Décor, which manufactured all the custom pieces.
Using A First Name As Your Theme
Samantha’s Bat Mitzvah was a huge success! Hi Tech’s floral designers created dramatic centerpieces that wowed not only the family, but the guests as well. Their one of kind floral arrangements made a spectacular presentation.
Hi Tech also provided the photography, videography and photo favors for this celebration.
One CraZy Night
The Landau family worked with Hi Tech Events on the decor and Entertainment Tonite provided the music with MC Showtyme rocking the party! This theme was a play off Zach’s name and all about the “Z”s with accents of blue, green and silver. From the linens to the room lighting, they made the client’s vision come to life.

Your date has been set in stone for the past 3 and 1/2 years and the invitations are out. Your child’s been studying for months and the out-of-towners are on their way!
Then your biggest fear is here, the “breaking” snowstorm or another terrible weather event. Even worse, a relative has just been hospitalized or a family member is sick.
FIVE TIPS TO HANDLE THE UNEXPECTED
1. Be In The Know! Whether your celebration is scheduled in the middle of the winter, early fall or late spring, have a back-up plan and ask questions – Does the venue have generators? What do they do if they lose power? Is it possible to live stream your service/party for those who can’t make it?
2. Get everyone’s email address – Communicate with your entire guest list. Ask for emails on the RSVP.
3. Consider getting hotel rooms for your vendors who might be traveling to your celebration.
4. Enlist help – Assign tasks to friends. Can they make calls? Check with your vendors? Send out an email to your guests?
5. Focus on safety – Although these last minute unexpected changes are stressful, remember the most important thing is the safety of family and friends.
Hopefully, weather and/or illness will not change your plans, but if it does, take a deep breath and know that your child will become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah – it just might not be on the date you have printed on your invitation!

We now have 14 local Bar Bat Mitzvah planning groups and love how Moms and Dads are asking questions and giving advice to other families.
Recently in our Westchester-Rockland-Fairfield Bar/Bat Mitzvah Planning Group a member asked: “For my candle lighting I want something low key and inexpensive. Any ideas?”
We wanted to share one of the ideas from Felicia. She wrote, “We got glass bottles from Michaels in different colors and bought gold tapered candles on Amazon. You could just do plain holders and choose candles in his favorite colors. We also got these letters for about $7 each on Michaels Website and we spray painted them. They come with battery operated lights.”
We love this DIY idea! Please join our groups so you can share your ideas with other families and/or ask questions and get advice.

Your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration is the joyous culmination of a very meaningful and important journey. It’s a time to usher them into adulthood with the perfect Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme and acknowledge a milestone that can only be reached once in a lifetime.
That’s why it deserves a once-in-a-lifetime celebration! Make your teen’s big day a reflection of their individual personality and taste by choosing a Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme and location that’s more than just a room. Choose Crest Hollow Country Club.
Which Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah theme is right for your family?
An Elegant Affair
Does your child gravitate toward the finer things in life? Do they love being dressed to the nines? Then a classy Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme in Crest Hollow’s Ballroom—which holds up to 500 guests—may be just what they’re dreaming of. Their Ballroom’s beautiful marble floors, atmospheric chandeliers and tasteful lighting will create the cosmopolitan ambiance your teen wants. Choose a sophisticated color palette for the invitations and decorations—think black, white, silver and gold—and opt for tapered candles and classic flowers, like roses, for centerpieces. They also offer Orthodox Glatt Kosher cuisine that’s prepared under rabbinical supervision. Don’t be surprised if your belle or beau of the ball chooses to arrive in style wearing a chic gown or tuxedo!

A Beach Bash
Does your child spend all summer running their toes through the sand and splashing around the Atlantic? Then a beach party Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme in either Crest Hollow’s South Beach or Coral Beach outdoor venue will blow them out of the water. Once they’re surrounded by waterfalls, palm trees, cozy fire pits and a white sand beach, your teen—and their guests—will feel like they’ve been transported to another destination! Blues and greens are the ideal color palette to bring the theme home, with vases full of sand and seashells as centerpieces. Mix up the party favor tradition by handing out sunglasses, bubbles and beach balls to guests as they arrive. For an extra relaxing party, suggest your teen and guests dress down in sundresses and board shorts with tropical button-ups.

A Dance Club Blowout
Is your teen the life of the party? Do they love high-energy music and dancing? Then a dance club Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme in Crest Hollow’s Lounge may be the scene they’re looking for. With customizable state-of-the-art LED lighting, modern leather furniture and an expansive dance floor where a DJ from one of their exclusive vendors plays their favorite songs, your teen and guests will get the same red-rope experience as the hottest club. Skip the traditional color palettes and embrace neons. Having an assortment of glow sticks as centerpieces—including necklaces, glasses, bracelets and hats—is a sure way to get the party started. Give your event an exclusive vibe by replacing traditional invitations with personalized VIP Passes that must be worn for admittance into “the club.”

A Tuscan Festa
Is your teen a burgeoning international traveler? Then a Tuscan celebrazione Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme in Crest Hollow’s Veranda Bay venue—featuring European bistro seating and beautiful waterfalls—is the perfect way to quench their wanderlust. An invitation designed to look like an airline ticket to Italy will ensure your destination theme really takes off. Give your teen and guests a taste of Italy with selections from their menu of traditional Italian cuisine. Add some international flair to dessert by serving cannolis and zeppolis instead of cake!
A Garden Tea Party
Did your teen graduate from hosting imaginary tea parties with stuffed animals to serving real tea to friends? Then an outdoor garden party Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme in Crest Hollow’s North Garden or English Garden venue is sure to be their cup of tea. These lush venues, nestled on their 24-acre estate in the heart of Long Island, feature brick walkways, beautiful gardens and a quiet atmosphere that takes us back to a simpler time. Décor that’s classic and clean, like white linens and doilies, and arrangements of lavender, poppies and daisies are a great way to stay on theme. Your teen and guests will be eager to cozy up with their personalized tea bag party favors.
Your teen’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah dream theme can come true at Crest Hollow Country Club.
