iSparkle Events created a NY State of Mind, Glam, Graffiti, Grunge themed Bat Mitzvah celebration. The venue was Temple Sinai in Washington, DC and from the minute guests found their unique place cards they knew this party was going to be fun! Owner and event designer of iSparkle Events and MitzvahLogos.com Ali Weitzman used Ultra Violet, the Pantone color of the year, creating a hip Bat Mitzvah with an urban vibe.
Party Logos
The chic black, purple and white acrylic invitation was designed by InvitingLee. The logo used was created by MitzvahLogos.com. It was incorporated throughout the party on all the design elements
There were two versions of the logo. This one used her initials
And here is the logo using her first name Charlotte
Glam, Graffiti & Grunge Decor
First impressions are so important and this one was so cool. Guests got their place cards off a wire fence then proceeded through a secret door into the party. The entrance featured Charlotte's favorite things sprayed in graffiti
The dance floor and DJ set up incorporated the logo front and center
Chrome sofas, a mirrored DJ booth, metal backdrops and bar added the gritty bling
The kids sat at colorful graffiti-clad tables
The adults were seated at modern mirrored tables with purple up lighting
The cinder block centerpieces were gritty and glamorous and fit in perfectly with the theme
This lounge area was complete with green glowing benches, black ottomans, tufted couches, and mirror side tables
Special Party Touches
Key chains were attached to place cards
The sign-in was a picture of a NYC subway car with graffiti writing.
The stage was set with this awesome seating area
Bat Mitzvah Fun
The Bat Mitzvah girl rode in on a hover board for her entrance
Guests threw purple confetti in her honor as she arrived!
When the kids weren't dancing they had lots of fun designing their air brushed hats
Mitzvah Favors
At the end of the evening, guests were treated to purple donuts and milk in mason jars
Logo'd custom drawstring bags held sweatpants for Charlotte's friends
We thank Ali Weitzman of iSparkleEvents for sharing this great Bat Mitzvah with our readers.

The Bernstein family of Merrick, New York recently celebrated their daughter Jamie’s Bat Mitzvah at Temple Israel of Lawrence. The entire inspiration for the theme came from Jamie’s second home, her sleep away camp, Nock-a-Mixon. On this special day, the camp was re-named Nock-A-Mitzvah. There were many special party touches to make guests feel like campers!
Pictured L-R: Brother Adam, Mom Monica, Bat Mitzvah girl Jamie and Dad Rich.
David of JoVon Photography was the photographer and the rest of the vendor information is listed at the end of the spotlight.
Bat Mitzvah Decor
The entrance of the temple's doors set the tone for the camp theme and instead of Nock-A-Mixon read Jamie's Nock-A-Mitzvah!
A "Welcome Campers" mash sign directed guests
Jamie and her friends hung out in the teen section called "Bunk 13"
This area included an Arts & Crafts shack where Jamie's guests could decorate hats, airbrush socks and have fun in the photo booth
Picnic tables were provided to hang out, eat or do one of the arts activities. There were cubbies to store each campers "stuff"
On the adult side, each table was designated as an area of the summer camp. Bright over-sized centerpieces made everything distinctive. Below was the "Rest Hour" table
The "Athletics" table
Special Party Touches
A countdown clock at the end of the celebration reminded everyone how many days till camp!
Guests were greeted with their bunk assignments (place cards) held on birch bark for a rustic feel
The family worked with Invitations by Jill on the pretty invitation
Bat Mitzvah Candle Lighting
The 4-tier themed cake included scenes from camp and the lake and of course was topped with marshmallows roasting over a fondant flame
Surrounded by her school friends during the candle lighting ceremony
And of course her camp friends!
Bat Mitzvah Entertainment
The music entertainment was by Geo Events. The dancers wore custom logo'd t-shirts created by A Promos USA/The ImageMaker & Aarrow Promotions
Dad Rich up in the air
Jamie taking a minute on the dance floor to strike a pose with her friends
Mitzvah Exit and Favors
As guests left, they stopped by the Canteen stocked with s'mores and candy
Friends received t-shirts, sweatshirts, and drawstring bags as they left the party. Adults were given Swell Bottles all printed with Jamie’s Nock-a-Mitzvah logo. All favors were from A Promos USA/The ImageMaker & Aarrow Promotions
Kids also received personalized duffle bags
Jamie’s Mitzvah Project
Jamie collected birthday party supplies for Birthday Wishes, an organization that provides birthday parties for children experiencing homelessness. They provide two types of party programs. The on-site program provides monthly parties at the shelters they serve and celebrates all children, ages 1-18 years, with birthdays in that month. The Birthday-in-a-Box program provides a party box and birthday gifts to children and their families staying in domestic violence safe shelters, hotels, and scattered sites so they are still able to celebrate their special day.
Some advice from Mom Monica
“Stay organized and don’t put off things till the end. If you know your color or theme early on, order your yarmulkes or your invitations ahead of time. Keep a loose leaf with dividers for each vendor with all your contracts, emails and notes. It will help when you need to refer to something quick. The day of the party relax, take in the night and remember to just have fun. It goes by fast.”

The Event Of A Lifetime planned and executed a Bar Mitzvah celebration that was very clever! The guest of honor’s name is Bryce but everyone calls him “B.” His middle name is Lennon, as in John Lennon. So, with a nod to The Beatles, the branding became Let it B along with some soccer elements. The Havdallah service and party were held at The Salem Club in North Salem, New York. Every detail was meticulously branded by Melisa Imberman.
The photographer was Peter Oberc Photography.
Special Party Details
Once the guests entered the venue, they picked up their place card in the shape of a soccer ball
The clever logo was used everywhere including the sock basket
The custom step-n-repeat included both logos and Bryce's soccer jersey number 23
Guests signed in on a Lucite board with his soccer Jersey #23
Bar Mitzvah Decor
Each table had centerpieces with silver soccer balls in an illuminated display case with the "Let It B" and "B" logos
The room was illuminated in a deep blue and tables were adorned with luxurious navy linen. Custom menus were at each place setting and a logo’d napkin band was place around the grey linen napkins to complete the look
The tables were adorned with luxurious navy linen. Custom menus were at each place setting and a logo’d napkin band was place around the grey linen napkins to complete the look
Giveaways/Favors/Mitzvah Exit Treats
Custom t-shirts were given away on the dance floor and worn by the MC and dancers
The Bar Mitzvah swag bags were customized with the logo
All the favors and giveaways were branded
As the evening ended, each guest was invited to take custom packaged blue & white cookies to enjoy on the way home
We thank Melisa Imberman and The Event of A Lifetime, Inc. for sharing this great Bar Mitzvah with our readers.

EJ The DJ is always on the lookout for what’s hot in Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah planning. They know what’s the next “big thing” in the world of entertainment and are ready to incorporate it into your child’s celebration.
Recently, they were the event planners for a B’nai Mitzvah for Shelby and Olivia with a Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory theme. The Bednoff family celebrated their son Aidan’s Bar Mitzvah at Main Line Reform Temple in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and their celebration at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Bold colors, a mariachi band and great food rocked this fiesta Mex Mitzvah.

Mom To Mom Advice From Mom Leigh
“As far as the date… Aidan’s birthday is May 22nd and when looking ahead at the calendar to send requests dates to Temple, May 5th was the one that worked best for our family. We immediately knew if we got it, we were going to embrace the Cinco de Mayo theme. And when the letter arrived confirming May 5th, we were so excited! Being the end of the Mitzvah season, we wanted to do something a little different because the kids have been to so many throughout the year. So what’s better than doing a “Mexican inspired” Bar Mitzvah to be a little different. Aidan was so excited and talked about his own ideas and thoughts since we received the date 3 years ago.”

The Kessler family celebrated son Andrew’s (Drew) Bar Mitzvah at Temple Chaverim in Plainview, New York. This club inspired bash included a logo similar to the iconic Beats by Dre logo, with the iconic “b” flipped to a “d” for Bar Mitzvah boy Drew. The logo was used throughout the celebration for a cohesive feel with every detail meticulously planned by Mom Melissa along with a great team of vendors. This Bar Mitzvah celebration did not miss a beat!

Unique Bar Mitzvah Invitation
Drew wanted an invitation that was unique so Mom Melissa and Dad Alec went to Debbie Lee owner of Invitation House to help them create just that
Invitations were delivered to guests rolled up in a black poster mailing tube for some fun
Custom logo'd stamps from Zazzle.com
Bar Mitzvah Decor
The Kesslers encouraged their guests to mingle, dance and celebrate in all areas of the party room!
Black leather lounge furniture lined both sides of the dance floor. All guests had access to the comfy seating and took advantage when they needed a quick break from the non-stop dancing!
Lighter Than Air Events worked closely with Drew’s mom Melissa to help bring the Urban-Glam Club theme vision to life! The adult tables had a modern vibe using artistic structures and the glow of many votive candles
The only thing more eye-catching than the table settings was the ceiling!
Great shot of the disco balls that hung from the ceiling
The space was covered in floor to ceiling black pipe and drape. Black leather couches were available to hang out on or take a break from dancing. Posters of Drew from his in-studio pre-shoot were hung around the room
One side of the centerpiece had Drew's Bar Mitzvah signage in a graffiti font
On either ends of the centerpiece there was the Bar Mitzvah boy's initials in a Beats type font
Special Party Touches
Guests were wow’d by the posters that were affixed to the buildings’ doors and windows but were really put in the mood to party once they walked under Drew’s V.I.P. Lounge entrance sign
Mom Melissa found a discounted mail box at her local Homegoods store and Lighter Than Air Events created an adhesive logo label to help turn it into Drew’s gift box!
The Kesslers also asked Lighter Than Air Events to produce an acrylic back lit V.I.P. seating chart so guests could easily find their seats
The logo was also used to create a pop of color on the silky black pillows found on the lounge furniture
Lighter Than Air Events also provided the logo'd sign-in board
Bar Mitzvah Entertainment
Drew enters the party through a breakaway wall that seems to be part of the decor
Guests loved the confetti canons on the dance floor!
Drew being lifted in the air
Party Harty Entertainment's team including DJ Evan (along with Bar Mitzvah boy Drew) provided great fun on and off the dance floor
Drew had a great time on stage. He is wearing a giveaway that Mom Melissa helped to create. The music inspired winter scarves were thrown out to guests on the dance floor and enjoyed during the glow portion of the night
"Who wants to play Foosball?"

Bar Mitzvah Favors
The Coolest Giveaways provided the favors. The Kesslers picked out soft lightweight black hoodie that had the bright logo printed on the back
The hoodies were packed in lightweight reusable string bags that also featured their Drew's logo
Advice from Mom Melissa
“My advice to anyone planning their Bar or Bat Mitzvah is to involve your child right from the start…get them excited about the process! Ask them if they prefer a day or night party. Are they envisioning something wild or chill? What colors and theme’s make them happy? Do they like to dance or do they gravitate towards entertainment and games? Once everyone is on the same page start checking out vendor websites and social media posts to get a good feel for what each company provides. Ask friends and family who have been through the planning process who they do and don’t recommend and why. Feel free to message me for my veteran advice as well! Just remember that other’s opinions will provide you with information but you’ll need to set up appointments to meet with vendors so that you can decide who and what fits best with your family’s vibe and budget. Take a notebook with you to all appointments so you can jot down notes. Documenting what was discussed will help you stay organized along the way. Although I have so much more “Mom advice” to share,I will end by saying that you should stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. If you don’t want your room set up in a traditional way- ask your venue to work with you and see if they can suggest alternate ideas! If you want to include a specific personal detail, incorporate a family tradition or create a new one…just ask! Be original, grand or understated, DIY or purchased, there is no right or wrong way to celebrate your family’s special day!”

EK Productions LTD. is a professional group of entertainers specializing in videos, dancers, automated lighting and special effects, games, percussionists, M.C.’s, wearable favors, lounge furniture and other exciting entertainment for your affair.
They are offering something new called Star Shot! A great add-on to any Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah celebration.
Think indoor fireworks! This is a nonflammable safe pyrotechnique effect that can be used in all venues. It is a chemical reaction and it doesn’t give off any heat. It can be triggered remotely to create a dramatic effect. It an exciting addition for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah candle lighting, grand entrance and/or special dance.
The team from EK Productions and a Bar Mitzvah boy with Star Shot in the background
Using Star Shots in the background during their candle lighting ceremony gave this family great photos
Again Star Shot is a great backdrop for those dancing guests

The Bari family celebrated their daughter Lexi’s Bat Mitzvah at The Inn at Penn, a Hilton hotel and catering venue at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lexi did not want an actual theme but went with a blue color scheme, her favorite. With a sparkling personality and a bright shining smile, Lexi had her dream party, a laid back, fun celebration including a cool new interactive technology from with LED bracelets that integrated everyone in part of the light show.
Pictured L-R: Bat Mitzvah girl Lexi, Dad Jon, Brother Jax and Mom Leslie.
The photographer was Phil Kramer Photographers and the rest of the vendor information is listed at the end of the spotlight.
Bat Mitzvah Style
The celebration kicked off with a few family portraits before guests arrived
We "LOVE" this picture of Lexi in her navy cocktail dress. The iconic LOVE sculpture is one of Philly's best known landmarks and the perfect backdrop for a celebratory portrait
Bat Mitzvah Decor
The room was glowing in blue with the uplighting and LED lounge furniture. There was also a custom Gobo of her logo on the dance floor
The centerpieces featured white and blue flowers, some on top of LED cubes which contributed to the modern chic feel of the party
The kids loved lounging in their own area with this comfy and elegant furniture
Bat Mitzvah Party Details Featuring Lexi’s Logo
The Step-N-Repeat featured both logos used through the party
As guests entered, they were greeted by a sign-in board where they could write their greetings and well-wishes for the Mitzvah girl
The photo booth had 8 background options including this Step-N-Repeat with Lexi’s logo. Additionally, as photos were taken, extra copies were placed in an album where guests could write a note to Lexi
Here is another backdrop that Lexi and her friends choose
This customized logo'd gift bag was created by The Mitzvah Mavens for guests to hold all their favors and other "stuff"
Lexi's guests also received a light blue comfy hooded sweatshirt also from The Mitzvah Mavens
Bat Mitzvah Music and Entertainment
All guests received Crowdsync Technology LED Bracelets which were a big hit! The DJ was able to change the color of the bracelets to the beat of the music. Guests found that their bracelets were blue as Lexi was making her grand entrance!
And here she is, the guest of honor. Lexi had lots of enthusiasm making her entrance
High fives for the guest of honor
MC Stephanie of EBE Entertainment had everyone on the dance floor
Mitzvah Favors and Exit Treats
Guests received a big "Thank You" in the way of an Insomnia Cookie for their ride home
Another sweet treat was the waffle ice cream bar with lots of toppings
Mom Advice from Leslie
“You don’t need to go overboard. So many of the parties today are over the top with décor, party favors, etc. It’s not really about that. It is about celebrating the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child’s accomplishments and just having a fun party. I am sure 99% of the kids do not even notice all those extras. An RSVP tip: I thought it would be great to do an online RSVP (via the web site RSVPify.com) instead of a printed response card. Apparently this confused a lot of people. Some people thought they lost the response card. Others thought the Website was an email address to reply to. Overall it caused a lot of confusion and in the end I was making a lot of follow up calls, texts and emails to try and gather all of the RSVP’s.”
Mitzvah Project
Lexi completed a Mitzvah Project helping homeless veterans at the Winter Haven V.A. (Veterans Affairs) Stand Down in Washington, D.C. Her Mitzvah Project was eye opening in trying to help these brave men and women who have risked their lives in service to our country and who now have unfortunately found themselves homeless. Today unfortunately, there are about 1.4 million veterans who are at risk of homelessness due to poverty and lack of support networks. At the Stand Down, Lexi met various veterans, helped provide them with clothing, warm garments, as well as health and hygiene supplies and developed a better sense of gratitude for their service.
