We have seen many fun and creative ways kids make their grand entrance into their party.
Here’s a round-up of entrances we hope you’ll enjoy!
BAR MITZVAH ENTRANCE IDEAS
Nate Goldman made his grand entrance via helicopter! He was taking flying lessons, so this was a great way to make his entrance
The
Lewin family and guests loved watching Aiden enter his celebration on a skateboard while one of the dancers jumped over him!
Friends and family cheered when
Jeremy Siegel skated into the ballroom for his entrance
As
Sean Simmons-Cohen made his entrance, confetti cannons went off, and guests were given long balloons with colored ribbon to wave
Sebastian was suspended from the ceiling at his
Mission Impossible themed Bar Mitzvah, and landed in the middle of the floor, ready to party!
Evan Weinberg made his entrance with two real NY Islander Ice Girls, which was a surprise for Evan and his guests
How about your Bar/Bat Mitzvah child gliding in on a
Segway!
BAT MITZVAH ENTRANCE IDEAS
Sofia Scarselli made her entrance with the help of illusionist Eric Wilzig who also performed a show for guests
For this Bat Mitzvah girl, what better way to make your entrance into a
beach themed party than to float in on a raft?
Kayla Turnof made her grand entrance on a custom surfboard on wheels designed by her Dad
We found this awesome Bat Mitzvah entrance on a hoverboard from
Debbie's Designs

Plan-it Vicki a special events company in Avon, Connecticut, recently created a Bar Mitzvah celebration for a huge basketball fan who was having his Bar Mitzvah during the weekend of the Final Four college basketball tournament.
Owner Vicki Ross worked with the family on all of the winning details. The party was held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and they had the game live-streamed during the celebration to make all the guests, including the Bar Mitzvah boy, happy!
The highlight of the evening was a special surprise video featuring the guest of honor’s friends and various ESPN personalities!
Entrance signage welcoming and directing guests to Will Call
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has an actual Will Call booth area that was used for guests to receive their tickets (place cards)
Signage directed guests to the proper window and then proceeded to their table, which corresponded to a team in the Sweet 16
The sign-in board had photos of the Bar Mitzvah boy in basketball gear surrounding the
tournament bracket with plenty of white space for guests to sign-in
The view of Center Court from above
Each table showed its school spirit with a college pennant
The pennants were placed in a vase that glowed and basketball confetti was scattered on the tables
Zac’s Final Four logo looked great on the menus. The food was catered by Max Catering
There were cute mini converse-like ankle socks to wear when the guests' feet got tired from dancing. These were placed in a miniature navy locker matching the theme
As Zac's friends left the party they were given a t-shirt with Zac’s special logo on the back. Custom name tags made it easy to ensure the right size went home with the right guest!
The highlight of the evening was a special video that surprised the Bar Mitzvah boy and all the guests. It featured various ESPN personalities chronicling a fictitious bidding war between various college teams for Zac’s basketball services. The “SportsCenter” anchors were two of Zac’s closest friends since preschool.

We thank Vicki Ross of Plan-it Vicki for sharing this wonderful Bar Mitzvah with our readers.

A styled photo shoot is a way for vendors to push their creativity, play with new event ideas and collaborate with other vendors who they may not have worked with before. There are many of these photo shoots in the Weddings industry and for other special events, but rarely for Bar or Bat Mitzvahs. That changes now!
Pop Color Events, along with a team of Bar Bat Mitzvah vendors from the Washington DC area, put together a styled shoot with the theme, Color Outside the Lines. Using a “model” Bat Mitzvah girl named Talia, who loves art, they created a grown-up event that still felt youthful and fun for a 13 year old.
Brynne Magaziner from Pop Color Events tells us, “The Color Outside The Lines theme allowed us to utilize playful elements, like the brightly colored flowers from EightTreeStreet, intricate desserts from Occasionally Cake and the cheeky wording of the invitations from InvitingLee.” She continues, “Fun little details, like the watercolor place cards or the artist palette signage by Shrimp Salad Circus kept the event youthful and brings in the pops of color. The event’s logo created by Party Favorites ties it all together with the delicate font choice, but with bold colors and a nod to Talia’s love of art.”
Check out their photos for this mock Bat Mitzvah below:

THE VENUE FOR THE PHOTO SHOOT
The photo shoot took place at an industrial venue, but was softened with romantic florals; black & white components and pops of bright, bold colors

Custom menus were set-up at each place setting. The logo ties it all together with a nod to Talia’s love of art
The tables numbers were done in calligraphy to match the logo font
"Fill Your Life with Color & Your Belly with Sweets" cleverly painted on a wooden palette

Are you thinking about using the beach and summertime theme for your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration?
Here are some ways to infuse beach elements into your party. We have you covered from place cards to logos, decor ideas, favors and cake.
Here are our favorite images that showcase how a beach theme can be used to turn you celebration into a beach bash.
Bar Bat Mitzvah Place Cards
For
Kayla Turnof's Bat Mitzvah, guests found their starfish place cards in an antique box filled with sand. The starfish used were not real as it was important to the family not to deplete the ocean of real starfish
Adult place cards were placed on Adirondack chairs
Mitzvah Logos
For
Melanie Del Angelo's Bat Mitzvah, they incorporated a girl with red hair into the logo which looked just like Melanie!
The menu card featured Avery's logo and was placed beside beautiful flowers and pearls
Party Decor
Carlyle At The Palace is an indoor venue where tables were cleverly created from wagons to represent this family's favorite place, Fire Island, for
Brent Greenberg's Bar Mitzvah
The lifeguard chair was a great decor element at
Sophie Rubin's South Beach themed Bat Mitzvah
Bar Bat Mitzvah Favors
The
Kaufman family gave guests custom photo flip-flops that were a big hit
Sydney Kaden's friends received plaid PJ’s customized appropriately with red wagons and her initials as their favors. The adults got delicious Rachel’s crumb cake (a well-known Fire Island bakery)
Bar Mitzvah Cake

Drew Cohen’s Miami themed celebration included this cake decorated with Palm trees for a “beachy” feel
