Melisa Imberman from The Event Of A Lifetime, Inc. recently designed a party to reflect the Bat Mitzvah girl’s favorite color – purple.
This sophisticated party took place at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, New York. There were beautiful custom linens and flowers in several shades of purple arranged with a modern twist. The Bat Mitzvah girl had a great logo and tagline which included her initials: ‘No Turning BACK’ with some added sparkle for a chic, fun party!

Guests entered the party on the purple carpet and had their picture taken in front of the custom step n' repeat with the tagline: No Turning BACK (A.C.K. for Anya's initials)
Next to the place card table was a custom purple bean bag chair sign-in
For the adult tables, the linens and purple flower centerpieces coordinated beautifully with the party decor

One thing we might have wanted to consider 13 years ago, when naming our children, is the Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme! Not all themes need to revolve around your child’s name or initials, but some children luck out and have the perfect name or initials to work with their theme.
For many families, choosing a Bar or Bat Mitzvah theme isn’t an easy task. Having a theme isn’t necessary for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration, but it does tie all the party elements together.
We all want our children to be involved in the planning process, after all, it will be a celebration of their hard work in becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. But when you pose the question to your child, “What would you like your theme to be?” the most common response is usually the dreaded, “I don’t know.”
We hope by giving you some ideas, using almost every letter in the alphabet, we can help move the process along!
