The Center was founded by a close-knit group of former lone soldiers in Jerusalem, to support lone soldiers serving today. Our staff and hundreds of volunteers work tirelessly to provide lone soldiers with housing, food, social events, basic necessities, equipment, advice, pre-army seminars, base visits, post-army assistance and much more. Our vision is to enable every lone soldier to succeed in his or her army service, successfully integrate into Israeli society and become part of the lone soldier family.
Much of what we do wouldn't be possible without the involvement of the larger Jewish community, both in Israel and abroad. We encourage bar and bat mitzvah aged youths to get involved with lone soldiers, whether they come to Israel for a trip or not, and be part of our family. Families visiting Israel often come to a Friday night dinner, donate a pizza party, bake for lone soldiers or more. Hundreds of bnei mitzvah abroad have launched fundraising campaigns for lone soldiers in their own creative ways.
