In 2001 the UJA-Federation of New York created the Israel Trauma Coalition to help Israelis cope with the impact of long-term violence. To date, the program has raised $45 million toward the Israel Emergency Campaign, trained 350 teams of physicians, nurses, social workers, emergency workers, municipal employees, and factory managers to respond to rocket attacks and launched several programs to provide trauma treatment.
