About Hindi's Libraries:

A few months ago, our community suddenly lost a crucial member - Dr. Hindi Krinsky, mother of 5 beautiful children, inspiring educator, and a truly brilliant woman. Hindi was a faculty member, Curriculum Coordinator, at a local high school located in Nassau County, Long Island.

Hindi's husband Dovid Kanarfogel and I are working together to collect children’s books that are being donated to children’s organizations throughout the country including:

Jewish Board
Suffolk Children Services
Birthday Wishes
North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center
Nassau Boces Adult Ed.
NYU Winthrop Hospital
Child Care Council of Nassau
World Literacy Foundation/Michigan Reads
Chai Lifeline
Cohen's Children's Hospital
IDVU Long Island
Met Council
Better World Books
Fresh Fair Fund
Give Kids Hope Inc.
Cohen's Children's Hospital
Winthrop Hospital
Butterfly Effect Project
Children's Aid Society
Gigi's Playhouse
Hudson Children's Book Festival
Girls' Empowerment Weekend
Big Brothers, Big Sisters
Children's Aid NY
Children's Aid Society (Alabama)
Figure Skating Harlem
Children’s Aid Society Alabama
Childrens Advocacy Project
Families Helping Families of Iowa

To date (Since January 2019), we have collected more than 10,000 books which have been donated to children who are affiliated with more than 40 organizations throughout the country.

In addition, we have received hundreds of new books from publishers including: Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Hachette, Simon & Schuster and more which have allowed us to expand our donations into hospitals and other such organizations that would not accept used books due to potential germs.

Every book donated has a special dedication label which provides information about the project. Within 4 months, we've accomplished so much to continue Hindi's legacy with children throughout the country.
