The Gold family celebrated with a B’nai Mitzvah luncheon for their two sons Corey and Drew at The Woodland’s in Woodbury, New York.
Their sons love snowboarding and since their celebration took place in December, this was their theme. Mystic provided the music and The Main Event provided the games.
Lucky for them, Dad Steven is a contractor and very handy. Their Dad, along with their brother Perry created many of the special touches you will see below.
We thank them for sharing their ideas with our readers.

The Gold family (L-R): Mom Alisa, Bar Mitzvah boy Drew, Sister Tracy, Brother Perry, Bar Mitzvah boy Corey and Dad Steven
The boy’s brother Perry designed these lift ticket place cards. He printed them on label paper and used a real lift ticket wicket
Guests found their “lift ticket” seating card displayed on a board
Signs show guests where to leave a special message for Drew
Drew is in 7th grade and Corey is in 8th. They had lots of friends at their celebration who signed one of two snowboards
Dad Steven made the tree trunk from carpet cardboard tubes and attached the arms and small branches. He then used paper mache on the whole tree, painted it brown and attached the trail signs which were used scrap pieces of plywood
The centerpieces were resort mountain names painted on plywood, attached to bleached painted posts with snowboarder statues mounted on top and topped off with balloons
Their cake featured a snowboard
