Hoop Wizard: Bar Bat Mitzvah Basketball Expert

Meet Jack Ryan, aka Hoop Wizard, aka BlackJack, the three-time Guinness world record holder performs his unparalleled spinning shows and motivational talks throughout the east coast including New York City, New Jersey, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and nationwide.

This basketball expert, with more than 20 years experience, knows how to entertain Bar Bat Mitzvah guests of all ages. For your cocktail hour, Jack brings two basketballs to spin. He interacts with guests by walking around doing tricks and spinning basketballs off of the kids and adults. Everyone enjoys the one-on-one interaction with the Hoop Wizard.

If you hire Jack for a performance at your child’s celebration, generally it takes place when parents are sitting and the kids are finished eating. He’ll perform the same basketball act that he does for NBA and College halftime shows! His finale is nine spinning basketballs on his body. He continues his performance by engaging young guests in exciting games and ends by walking around the party spinning a basketball on the kids and adults. It’s amazing to watch!

Here are pictures of BlackJack in action:

New Bar/Bat Mitzvah Game Alert! “Hot Hands” with EJ The DJ
November 3rd, 2018

New Bar/Bat Mitzvah Game Alert! “Hot Hands” with EJ The DJ

Bar and Bat Mitzvah games have been around for decades – remember Coke and Pepsi? Huggy Bear? Today’s games take advantage of the latest technology to keep kids engaged and excited. EJ The DJ, one of the leading music and event producers, is always on the cutting edge of what kids want, and they tell Mitzvah Market that “Hot Hands” is their newest must-have game.

EJ The DJ adapted a popular celebrity photo guessing game, created by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the makers of Heads Up!, for event production utilizing multiple LED screens and a tablet. A series of celebrity photos come up on the screen and players are challenged to guess as many names correctly as they can before the timer runs out. The MC of the event keeps the game moving and tracks how many guesses each player gets correct… and of course, who wins a prize! The result is a fun, fast-paced game that keeps the kids’ attention.

Check out the photos and video below to see kids playing “Hot Hands” at a recent EJ The DJ produced Bar Mitzvah.

Kids had a blast guessing their favorite celebrities and winning gift cards.

We thank EJ The DJ for sharing this fun new game with us. To learn more about EJ The DJ, please visit their extended profile page in our vendor directory.

Bar Bat Mitzvah Bathroom Decor
September 23rd, 2018

Bar Bat Mitzvah Bathroom Decor

A custom Bar and Bat Mitzvah logo often sets the tone for your event.  Typically featuring the Mitzvah child’s name or initials and a hint of the theme for the party, these logos are visible at the entry to the venue, on signage, favors and more.  But what about the bathrooms?

Amy Wohl from FabuDesigns.com tells Mitzvah Market that in addition to baskets filled with assorted toiletries, families are now asking for oversized logos and decals to decorate the women’s restroom!  “Decals on bathroom mirrors are an unexpected way to put a smile on your guest’s face, and to carry your Mitzvah theme into a room that everyone uses at some point during the affair,” says Wohl. “After the first request a year ago, I have recommended these custom decals to other Bar Bat Mitzvah families and they always tell me they were a huge hit!”

Pillow & Gift Options From The Pieced Palette

The Pieced Palette believes that every Bar and Bat Mitzvah child deserves a special keepsake gift that commemorates his or her special day. They can take your child’s invitation (or logo or photo) and create one-of-a-kind fabric art that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Plenty Of Pillow Options From The Pieced Palette

The Pieced Palette offers a wide variety of keepsake pillow options including sign-in pillows and bean bags, keepsake pillows, wordcloud pillows, and love pillows each customized to commemorate your child’s special day.

SIGN-IN PILLOWS

They make cool and creative sign-in pillows for Bar Bat Mitzvahs. Your guests may either sign a finished pillow, or sign a fabric mounted onto a board that The Pieced Palette makes into a pillow after the party. They can make heavyweight floor pillows, or lighter weight pillows for the bed or sofa. The Pieced Palette can easily adapt your child’s invitation or logo as the basis of the design.

SIGN-IN BEAN BAGS

Their custom bean bag chairs are a great keepsake sign-in for your child’s Bar Bat Mitzvah celebration. No more sign-in boards collecting dust in your basement or attic, sign-in bean bags are a fun and functional option. Fully customizable.

KEEPSAKE PILLOWS

These are a wonderful memento of your child’s Bar Bat Mitzvah invitation. The Pieced Palette will create something special for you inspired by the design of the invitation. The more basic pillows are print-only, while the more elaborate pillows incorporate various materials and trims combined in an artful way.

WORDCLOUD PILLOWS

Wordcloud pillows are great presentation gifts. You supply The Pieced Palette with the words and they create the design. You choose the colors and font and they do the rest.

LOVE PILLOWS

For “Love” pillows, your child’s initials are artfully typeset to create a design that contains the initials in an interesting pattern and superimposed onto a heart. They can create this design with any initials and any colors! It’s a wonderful gift for a Bar Bat Mitzvah child.
