Hockey Theme
For a Bar Mitzvah boy who loves hockey, Hi Tech Events completely transformed the Engineers Country Club into his dream ice hockey arena. Their team created custom items including bars, centerpieces and lounge furniture to replicate ice hockey bleachers which showcased real jerseys.
Hi Tech did the photography, videography, and photo favors for this celebration. They also created the décor with the help of their sister company Porta Décor, which manufactured all the custom pieces.
Using A First Name As Your Theme
Samantha’s Bat Mitzvah was a huge success! Hi Tech’s floral designers created dramatic centerpieces that wowed not only the family, but the guests as well. Their one of kind floral arrangements made a spectacular presentation.
Hi Tech also provided the photography, videography and photo favors for this celebration.
One CraZy Night
The Landau family worked with Hi Tech Events on the decor and Entertainment Tonite provided the music with MC Showtyme rocking the party! This theme was a play off Zach’s name and all about the “Z”s with accents of blue, green and silver. From the linens to the room lighting, they made the client’s vision come to life.

Your date has been set in stone for the past 3 and 1/2 years and the invitations are out. Your child’s been studying for months and the out-of-towners are on their way!
Then your biggest fear is here, the “breaking” snowstorm or another terrible weather event. Even worse, a relative has just been hospitalized or a family member is sick.
FIVE TIPS TO HANDLE THE UNEXPECTED
1. Be In The Know! Whether your celebration is scheduled in the middle of the winter, early fall or late spring, have a back-up plan and ask questions – Does the venue have generators? What do they do if they lose power? Is it possible to live stream your service/party for those who can’t make it?
2. Get everyone’s email address – Communicate with your entire guest list. Ask for emails on the RSVP.
3. Consider getting hotel rooms for your vendors who might be traveling to your celebration.
4. Enlist help – Assign tasks to friends. Can they make calls? Check with your vendors? Send out an email to your guests?
5. Focus on safety – Although these last minute unexpected changes are stressful, remember the most important thing is the safety of family and friends.
Hopefully, weather and/or illness will not change your plans, but if it does, take a deep breath and know that your child will become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah – it just might not be on the date you have printed on your invitation!

The Zatman family recently celebrated the B’nai Mitzvah of sons Alex and Ryan with a morning ceremony at Adat Shalom in Cheswick, Pennsylvania. Later that evening, there was a party in their honor at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. Mom Shari is an event planner and this party was designed to recreate the excitement and energy of a packed sports arena from the marching band and tunnel entrance to the custom jumbotron, food and favors.

B’nai Mitzvah Welcome
Guests were greeted by the University of Pittsburgh marching band as they arrived at the Heinz History Center
Next guests made their way through a tunnel of orange and blue balloons
B’nai Mitzvah Logo and Decor
Once through the tunnel guests saw this great banner of the boys
The main room was decorated as "Sports Central" and was kept a surprise from the boys until the night of the party!
All the special details were designed by Mom Shari, an event planner and her team at Perfectly Planned by Shari. The room décor celebrated the boys’ love of basketball and hockey
The dance floor was a combination of a hockey rink and basketball court with the logo incorporating both sports
The custom-made Jumbotron was a collaboration between Perfectly Planned by Shari, Gray Phoenix and Festivities. It showcased Ryan and Alex playing sports. It took over a year to create!
The basketball centerpieces included sneaker lace ups wrapped around tall cylinders
The hockey centerpieces incorporated hockey sticks to hold up the skate
B’nai Mitzvah Entrance and DJ
There was an awesome logo'd breakaway
The guests of honors made their way into the reception
The boys got another surprise when the Pitt Panther and cheerleaders made an unexpected appearance
Glyde Productions kept the kids busy with karaoke, games and dancing as adults mixed and mingled

Mom Advice From Shari
“Be in the moment. I believe if you want to enjoy the celebration you will. If you go in worrying about the details you won’t get to enjoy yourself while it’s actually happening. Dance, eat, drink and talk with your guests. Don’t worry about the planning anymore once your party is underway, leave that to all of the professionals you have hired. I was so fortunate to have my team of assistants onsite which allowed me to focus on being a mom and hostess instead of wearing my Event Planner hat. If you need to, hire an Event Planner or Day-Of Coordinator that will allow you to be a mom and enjoy it like I was able to.”

Jennifer Keller Styled Events located in Weston, Florida, was the planner and coordinator for a Bat Mitzvah that took place in South Florida with a clear Jersey girl vibe. The inspiration behind this celebration was the guest of honor’s roots. She lives in South Florida, but was raised a Jersey girl, so the family wanted to bring a bit of South Jersey to South Florida.
Congregation Kol Tikvah in Parkland, Florida was the venue and Jennifer Keller Styled Events worked with the family to make sure all the details were authentic. Everything from the décor to the piece of saltwater taffy on each place setting was Jersey-like.

Bat Mitzvah Decor and Tag Line

The cocktail hour was filled with boardwalk games including the infamous Rollerball horse race
