Mitzvah Style: Bar & Bat Mitzvah Fashion For The Entire Family

Mitzvah Style: Bar & Bat Mitzvah Fashion For The Entire Family

What-to-wear to a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a big decision! Whether you are a guest or the host, you’ll want to make sure you feel and look great. It’s also important that your son or daughter is happy with their outfit too!

For a daytime service and luncheon, you may want to consider an elegant suit. For an evening service and nighttime party, you’ll want something more formal such as a cocktail dress or long gown. And, don’t forget the accessories; great shoes, an elegant bag and stunning jewelry can add pizazz to any ensemble.

We gathered a list of fashion “experts” who can help you decide what works best for the occasion.

Our Bar Mitzvah boy above is wearing an all wool, charcoal pinstriped suit, in a two button model with fashionable side vents. The coat features a slightly narrower lapel with pick stitched edges (often an indicator of very fine Italian suits). The pants have a flat front with a trim leg silhouette. This look is paired with a dressy sneaker so you can add a touch of your personality while still dressing appropriately for your event
