We got the chance to talk with Debbie Bernstein, the Associate Director of ORT America – Party Planning Showcase and learn a bit more about their upcoming showcases.
MM: Tell us about your business.
DB: If you are planning something special, our Party Planning Showcase is a must! We provide one-stop shopping for all of your party needs. Exhibitors showcase all phases of party planning; we have live DJ performances, catering and event venues, themed decor and illuminated and lounge furniture, exciting party entertainment and extras, special occasion fashions, favors, invitations and calligraphy, Judaica, limousines, music, photography and videography.

MM: How is your business unique?
DB: By attending our Party Planning Showcases, party givers are able to speak directly with a variety of vendors throughout the day. Additionally, our attendees have the opportunity to compare prices, products and services. Our shows also give party making families insight into the newest and most cutting-edge products and services that are available.
Looking for wearable favors?
For people in the party making industry, our showcases provide an opportunity to display their products and services to a large targeted audience. In addition, our showcases also provide a valuable opportunity for our vendors to network with each other.
MM: Do you have any advice for Mitzvah Moms?
DB: My advice for Mom’s is not to get too overwhelmed. Begin the process by making a list of all of the things that need to get done. Next, use all of your resources – your friends and family who have already planned Mitzvahs have great recommendations and suggestions, listen to what they have to say. Attend our Party Planning Showcases because that gives you the opportunity to see and speak to the widest variety of vendors. At that point, you can narrow your choices and then meet with a few vendors individually. Most importantly…have fun in the planning and on your child’s special day!
