Hello All!
This Mitzvah Family had an affair to remember using a Cirque de Soleil theme. We know you will enjoy seeing their party pictures and learning about their creative ideas.
The Shain Family had an easy time figuring out their son Jackson’s theme. He’s a performer, a dancer and loves everything French, especially Cirque de Soleil, so that was their theme. We want to thank Randy, Michelle, Bar Mitzvah boy Jackson and brother Dillon Shain for sharing their very creative and unique party with Mitzvah Market.

As soon as this family saw the Foundry, located in Long Island City, they knew it would be the perfect backdrop for their very own french circus!
A reminder that all Vendor info is listed at the bottom of this story.

The Foundry

The Shain’s used Chez-zam as their party planners. They were responsible for the creative decor and brought in the electric violins for the cocktail hour and the DJ for later in the evening. The dancers dressed outrageously and changed costumes throughout the night. They had a glass blower, a man on stilts walking around and an aerialist that hung from ceiling fabric to entertain guests. All party photography was done by David Goldberg.

Mitzvah Mom Michelle is the partner in a company called Headlights Creative. They designed all the graphics, everything from the invitation, posters, welcome signs to the montage and favors.

A large poster greeted guests. It gave credit to everyone who made the party a huge success and even listed the entire menu plus the desserts and cake!

Jackson’s invitation set the tone for the “circus” themed Mitzvah

H On The Harbor created a delicious “walking dinner.” Chez-zam dressed the waiters in berets and gold-sequined vests. As you can see by the photos below, presenting food in an interesting or unexpected way really creates that WOW factor! Delicious eats were passed around all night, accompanied by carving, seafood and crudite food stations. A huge, 4 foot chocolate Eiffel Tower, made by Main Street Bakery was wheeled out, to Bar Mitzvah boy Jackson’s surprise. Additionally, kids were given chocolate croissants for their bus ride home.

The highlight of the evening was the performance/entrance Jackson and the dancers KoozaDance 10/24 made. Check out the video here!

Jackson gave his friends American Apparel jackets in red, white and royal blue that were stacked and ready for the kids to take on their way out of the party. These themed favors were created by the Commack Girls.

Jackson’s Mitzvah Project was a clothing drive for the Parent Resource Center, a local non-profit organization that provides child-care, classes for kids and parents and services to the Port Washington Outreach program.

Mitzvah Mom Michelle has this advice: “Try really hard to make it about your child. Find something to make it uniquely their own. Then, everything else will fall into place.” Thanks, that is great advice and as we can all see from the pictures above, Jackson had a blast and enjoyed every minute of this great experience.

Here is a list of the Mitzvah Vendors who helped make Jackson’s French Circus Bar Mitzvah a huge success. If you call any of them, please let them know you read about their services on MitzvahMarket.com. Thanks!
