The Miranda Hirsch Bat Mitzvah Family Spotlight

The Miranda Hirsch Bat Mitzvah Family Spotlight

Miranda Hirsch celebrated her Bat Mitzvah with a fun kids party on February 2, 2013 at Hudson Terrace, an event space in New York City.

For her initial “M,” she had a chic and sophisticated M&M theme.

Miranda’s modern and colorful invitation was conceived by Miranda and her mom, and was created by Caroline Nussbaum of The Perfect Type.

The primary colors were carried throughout the party

Miranda wore a dress by Designing Dreams.

The decor at Hudson Terrace included up lighting in primary colors of red, yellow, blue, green, and orange to coordinate with the look of classic M&M’s.

Adding to the décor were over 60 lbs of M&M’s in assorted clear vases, fish bowls and grande martini glasses

Even the bathroom doors had oversized frames filled with M&M posters!

The chandeliers had LED screens that displayed different graphics that emphasized her color scheme

Cute napkins coordinated with the M&M theme

The sign-in board was created by Stephen Andrews Photography and featured a muted picture of Miranda as a child and a larger picture of her now.

Entertainment Tonite provided the music for this celebration. They kept guests on the dance floor all night long!

At one point during the celebration, a cannon shot M&M colored confetti into the crowd of dancing kids.

With design ideas from Miranda and Mom Pam, LB Squared created the bright orange pullover sweatshirt that Miranda gave to her friends. They’ve been wearing them ever since!

Miranda’s Sweet Shop was set up with lots of great sweets for guests to take home.

Advice from Mom Pam:
“Take a deep breath and don’t sweat the small stuff. Make lists, then make more lists. Include your daughter (or son) in the decision making, but NOT with everything!”
