Hello All!
The Lustberg Family celebrated their daughter Sydney’s Bat Mitzvah the past May with the service at Jericho Jewish Center, followed by an afternoon celebration at Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park, NY.
The theme of the party was sunflowers along with a beautiful palette of orange and fushia. A sunflower themed Bat Mitzvah is a great idea for a late summer, early spring party.
Pictured left clockwise: Gary, Tama, Samantha and Bat Mitzvah girl Sydney Lustberg. All party photography was done by Jack Katz. Just a reminder that all Vendor info is listed at the bottom.

The Lustberg’s looked great! Sydney’s sunny yellow dress matched with the themed of her party and was from Designing Dreams. Sister Samantha found her orange colored dress at It’s Simply For You and Mom Tama’s white strapless detailed dress was by designer Gustavo Cadile.

We always say the invitation sets the tone for the whole party. This one truly does just that. Tama was inspired by something she saw on another invitation and searched until she found exactly the flower she wanted. She got Sydney’s invitatons thru Robins Writes and Invites.

The beautiful invitation arrived in a white box

Dalsimer created a Sun-sational decor. Keeping with the sunflower theme all guests where greeted by this beautiful arrangement when they first walked in. The place cards were DIY created by Mitzvah Mom Tama.

These picture frame place cards were found at a 99 cent store and a glue gun was used to afix a brightly colored artificial flower to each one.

A photo shoot by Kornfeld Studios was done and photos of Sydney lined the hallway as guests walked into the reception and were also around the ballroom.

Beautiful fushia linens and orange satin chair bows in addition to vibrant centerpieces made the room bright!

Dalsimer put together a guest bowl – instead of a sign-in board. Guests wrote a message to the Bat Mitzvah girl on a piece of paper (of course with a sunflower on top!) and dropped it into a bowl. After the party, these wishes can be compiled in a photo album, framed in a collage or added to your Mitzvah scrapbook.

Another special touch was pizza from Frank Pepe in New Haven, Connecticut. This is a favorite of Dad Gary and he made arrangements to have boxes delivered just for Sydney’s celebration!

Untouchable Events provided the entertainment for the party and the kids favor creations. Joe Nyce was the MC.

The beautiful cake was created by Sweet Things in Oceanside.

This sunflower cake put a big smile on Sydney’s face as she starts her candle lighting ceremony.

And That created yellow T-shirt favors for Sydney’s friends that said, “Sun. Shine. Love.,” with her initials and Bat Mitzvah date in crystals on the shirt sleeve.

Sydney’s friends also were able to creatively design flip flops and sunglasses during her party

Having been through the planning of her first daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, Mitzvah Mom Tama has this advice: “My advice is two-fold….keep it all in perspective…remember…it is a 13-year old’s party AND…enjoy every minute of it because the moment comes and goes so quickly!!!” Well said Tama!

The Lustberg family hopes that their sunflower party theme inspires you too! Here is a list of Vendors they used to make their daughter’s celebration special. If you call any of them, please remember to tell them you read about their services on Mitzvah Market! Thanks.
