We caught up with Jill Zarin, one of the stars of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York to chat exclusively about her new Shapewear line, Skweez Couture!
Did you know the native New Yorker has 15 years experience in the hosiery industry?
MM: Why did you decide to launch the Skweez Couture Shapewear line?
Jill: The initial inspiration for the collection was to design Shapewear and hosiery that was not only functional but also beautiful and sexy. The styles are luxurious yet affordable. My own personal taste and experience helped to create products that would help women feel more comfortable, confident, stylish and sexy. The overall look of the collection is retro glam. I love old vintage ads of hosiery and shapewear.
MM: Why do you wear shapewear and how does Skweez work to target specific areas of the body?
Jill: Every woman has a part of their body they would like to improve no matter what their age or size is. Skweez Couture is specifically made for women of all ages, and certain styles are available for larger women. Skweez products have targeted compression, so they Skweez all the spots that need it the most.
MM: Who is the Skweez Couture woman?
Jill: The Skweez woman is confident and sexy and wants a little “skweez” to look slimmer and smoother in her clothes. I have 15 years of experience in the hosiery field prior to the show, and won’t put my name on a product unless it is perfect!
MM: What advice would you give to our Mitzvah Moms when selecting their shapewear piece to complement their dress.
Jill: There are so many different choices of shapewear in my collection. Remember that beauty begins with the right foundation. Our intention for the line was to offer functional and beautiful shapewear products that women would be excited and proud to show off.
