We all hope to be organized when it comes to selecting pictures for our child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah montage, but sorting through thousands of photos of your child’s life for the past 13 years can be quite daunting.
To avoid the stress of managing all of your photos, here are some tips on how to categorize your pictures into sections that make sense and will move this process along a bit easier:
Section 1- Your child alone, in chronological order, 20 to 25 photos.
Section 2- Your child with immediate family, 20 to 25 photos.
Section 3- Your child with extended family, grandparents, aunt/uncles, cousins, 20 to 25 photos.
Section 4- Your child with friends, school friends, camp friends, etc, 20 to 25 photos.
Section 5 - Action photos, travel photos. Anything that didn’t make it into the other sections that you want in the montage.
Final Tip: Also, try to have a current photo of your child for the last shot so the montage comes full circle.
