Kedai Photo is a start-up founded on the premise that guests at an event collectively capture some of the night’s most magical moments and that YOU and your family should get to see and enjoy these memories. We couldn’t agree more! When you see someone get a great shot, and they promise they’ll email it to you, the likelihood of actually getting that picture is slim.

Enter Kedai Photo. Kedai’s Lauren Saul tells us more about how Kedai was started and how it works:

When we realized the extent to which guests forget to send their photos to the right people, the founders got together and invented a device that would resolve this problem, along with enabling everyone at an event to see a live display of all guests’ digital photos.
Our flagship device is used at Mitzvahs, weddings, other celebrations and business expos. The console is placed on a cocktail table and is connected to an HD monitor. Guests simply insert their camera cards into the Kedai console and indicate which photos they’d like to share. The device does not access photos taken at earlier events. Once guests finish sharing, their recently-taken photos are added to the HD monitor’s photo display. Your guests enjoy seeing their own photos as part of the larger set of candid photos on this screen.

By the end of your Mitzvah party, every guest’s photos are stored on Kedai Photo’s console. Several days after your party, you receive a link to a secure Web gallery containing all photos, organized by your guests’ names, so that you’ll know whom to thank.

We are often asked if using our service replaces a professional photographer. And the answer is, that’s up to you. Kedai Photo’s service provides all of its clients with cherished images that they would otherwise not have received from a professional photographer or the event guests. However, many feel that a good professional photographer’s collection of photos cannot be replaced so easily.

Kedai Photo offers two packages at this time:

Recession Chic ($499)
Kedai ships you a box containing the Kedai console and a 24″ monitor. You appoint someone from your event to assemble it (very easy!).  The next day, you ship it back to them. The Recession Chic package can be shipped anywhere in the US.

Other Options
