We have spoken with a lot of Mitzvah Vendors in the past, all with their own talents and expertise, which they, in turn, use to help make your Mitzvah special. When we had the chance to talk with Andrea Blau of Rewind Pictures, we were impressed with her professionalism as well as her company’s mission, which is to help preserve the past and capture today’s story for tomorrow.

Andrea and her partner, Florence Holdeman, are documentary filmmakers by trade. They met years ago while working in New York City on the critically acclaimed biographical documentary film, Toots. Fast forward a few years, and Rewind Pictures was created. The goal of their company is three-fold:

1. Take your memories out of the closet. With your help, Rewind Pictures will compile and digitally archive your memories from years gone by. They will compile photos, documents or even home video to give them new life in the form of a digital story.

2. Create a new story. The professional film crew of Rewind Pictures will conduct interviews with you, your family and friends to create a short film on you! This is a perfect idea for a Mitzvah and could be used in lieu of an opening montage. In the past, Rewind Pictures has documented a Mitzvah Kid’s childhood and family history and copies of the film were given out as DVDs at the affair.

3. Build your soundtrack. Let the ladies behind Rewind put your images to music. They will set your story to a complimentary selection of songs.
