Question – I am planning my son’s Bar Mitzvah and am unsure whether etiquette is that favors are given out to the kids/his friends only or to all of the guests.

For my daughters Bat mitzvah, we had the valet hang key chains on everyone’s key ring, put slippers in the car for all the women and a bag of chocolate covered pretzels decorated with theme colors. They were all a big hit!!!

  2. Ellen says:

We didn’t give adults the favors we gave to the kids, but instead of a Candy Bar, we had custom bags filled with candy as the exit “treat” for all of our guests to take. Pictured is cotton candy in bags too.

These are Hershey Kisses that I have done for several of my customers. The valets leave them in hanging from the rear view mirrors in the cars.

  4. Randi says:

One of my customers gave out chocolate wine bottles. I also done several Hershey Kisses Favors that the valets have put in their cars hanging from the rear view mirror

  5. Susan says:

Since my son’s Bar Mitzvah was the weekend before Thanksgiving, we gave each adult guest a mini apple pie!

  6. Sue says:

I don’t think it’s necessary to give the adults a favor, but many Bar Mitzvahs I have attended have some type of “treat” to-go…as if we need something more to eat! To go along with our “urban” theme, we invited guests to take candy from these lined garbage pails and scoop them into logo’ed candy bags.

  7. Stacey says:

As guests left my son’s Bar Mitzvah, they were given to-go cups of Dunkin Munchkin Donuts. Everyone seemed to love this idea!

  8. Howie Zwang says:

Adult favors are a great idea but not a necessity. Here are some items we do at Gotham T shirts for adults… many of these you can leave in the car… (valet parkers handle it) we take the theme of your party and select ideas that have that genre… so if your theme is winter wonderland…. we’d do a lip balm, coffee mug, nice throw blanket….. if your theme is summer… we’d do a water bottle, beach towel, and canvas beach bag… you get the idea… So much depends on your budget and if you want to give out an item to the adults… I have a million ideas and would love to help any Mitzvah mom….

Since my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah was in January, we had ice scrapers in all our guests cars with a sticker featuring our logo! It was a nice touch..

    • Roberta says:

Love this idea…my son’s BM is in January. Where did you order the ice scrapers from?

      • Tama says:

We actually found them at the Dollar Store and just added a sticker that we printed at home with her logo. If you google “custom ice scrapers” many companies come up. Good luck!

        • Howie Zwang says:

We gave the kids long sleeve shirts and as the adults were leaving we gave the women a pair of slippers for the car ride home! They were a big hit. Our celebration fell out on the night you turn back the clocks, so we had a cute poem on a sticker reminding people to change their clocks. We found the slippers on Amazon for under $2 a pair.
