Last time my Real Deal was about practical tips on how to keep your child organized while they are on the Bar/Bat Mitzvah circuit. Today I wanted to talk about the Ladies Room Basket.
Many celebrations feature a ladies room basket, which is a nice touch for your guests and a practical element as well. You can fill it ahead of time, as none of the items are perishable, or delegate the task to a friend, your florist or your party planner if you prefer.
This basket should contain some first aid and quick-fix necessities as well as some fun hair, makeup and toiletry items.
Some items to include:
Advil and Tylenol, band aids, Neosporin, hand cream, tampons/pads, shout wipes, hairbrush, comb, barrettes and, bobby pins, nail file, clear nail polish, hairspray, hair gel, mints, wipes, kleenex, Q-tips, lip gloss and safety pins.

All of these items can be purchased at your local drug store and can be budget brands or items that are on special. Nest them in a pretty basket decorated with festive ribbon, tissue paper and the event logo. Your guests will really appreciate your extra effort, especially if they have a wardrobe malfunction or break a nail!
