Meet Chris Nealon of Christopher’s Photography Studio

Recently, we had the opportunity to ask owner, Chris Nealon, about his business:

MM: How did you get your start in photography?
CN: I was always interested in photography. As a creative artist in high school, I was awarded several scholarships to art schools including the School of Visual Arts in NYC. During my years learning about art in college, my talent and skills blossomed behind the camera. It was a natural way for me to express myself and create a story that wanted to be told. Many years have passed and I am still telling great stories of happy moments for my clients.

MM: What is your signature (photography) style?
CN: The style I have created is a blend of storytelling and traditional photography. While I enjoy finding unique ways to capture a moment, families will want a great posed portrait on the Bar Bat Mitzvah day. Most packages I offer have two photographers and we capture all the great portraits and have lots of fun doing it.

MM: What are three things that people should remember when they are selecting a photographer for their Bar Bat Mitzvah?
CN
: When selecting a photographer for a Bar Bat mitzvah, I would suggest experience be the first criteria. There are a lot of little things that you will want photographed that you will not remember until it is too late. Undressing the Torah, proper posing and lighting, family groupings for album shots and many other key factors will create a great album. Once the party gets started, there is no stopping the action so make sure your photographer gets all the shots.
