Jewish National Fund (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Today, JNF gives all generations a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.
A Bar Bat Mitzvah celebration is one of a family’s most joyous occasions and a milestone in a Jewish child’s life. Knowing that you want this day to be meaningful and memorable, Jewish National Fund has created many ways that your child can celebrate his/her milestone and support Israel at the same time.
B’NAI MITZVAH REMEMBRANCE WALL IN ISRAEL – A GREAT GIFT IDEA
Celebrate by linking a Bar Bat Mitzvah child to a child who perished in the Holocaust with the child’s name inscribed on JNF’s Bar Bat Mitzvah Remembrance Wall in Israel.
For an $1,800 donation, a glass tile will be embedded into the wall that bears the name of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child, his/her hometown and date of the occasion, as well as the name and home country of a child who perished at the hands of the Nazis
This stone wall, located in Jerusalem’s American Independence Park is designed to look like a Torah scroll
A plaqued certificate is also sent to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child. Proceeds go towards developing, maintaining and advancing Israel campsites for Jewish youth, and scholarships.
