Custom Parties was founded 25 years ago by Bobbie Lonsk. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and in Education and an Associate’s Degree in Apparel Design. Creativity, style and good taste are lessons learned and passed on to you, her clients.
The goal of Custom Parties is just that, to customize your party to suit your vision, your lifestyle, as well as your budget. Bobbie provides a unique way of giving you the party you envisioned without the stress and worry usually associated with preparing for your event.
We asked Bobbie to tell us about some upcoming invitation trends:
“This disc shape was the newest look from the May Stationery Show. Lucite is becoming the new paper! It’s modern, fun and easy to personalize. You can select any font, style or color for the paper. You can also use mirror, glitter or layering of Lucite to see through the layers. It is extremely versatile and we will be seeing lots of this shape!”
“Kids love their iPhone, so why not mimic that look for your invitation! The dPhone above was done in Lucite. More and more kids are infusing their personality into their Bar Bat Mitzvah invitations.”
“Many families sit for a special Bar Bat Mitzvah photo shoot before their celebration and use those photos as part of the decor. Why not also use it for the invitation? This invitation is very artsy because it’s based on an Andy Warhol design. It is fresh and fun, and could also be done without a picture and with just a design.”
